I have a grow tent 60" x 60" x 80" (1.52m x 1.52m x 2.03m) I need to know if i can use 25, 5gal. (4.16gal.) buckets and light it with 1000 watt. MH/HPS . I am going to plant from seed, Barney Farm Critical Kush. I plan to use 1000 watt MH till they get to about 12" (.30m) . Then use 1000 watt. HPS for flowering. Will this work for me? Thks in advance

That lighting will work just fine, but I'd really like to see you squeeze 25 5 gallon buckets in that space. Too much Heat may be of concern during warm months unless good ventilation is used. Hope it all works out for you. Happy growing

You have a top notch setup with plenty of MH/HPS light to fill your tent, so as long as you have decent ventilation to keep your temps down, you should be loaded in buds in 4 - 5 months
Dr. Jekyll

you ask if you can fit 25 - 5 gallon buckets into the tent:
Since each bucket is about 1 square foot, and your tent is 5x5 square feet, so about 25 square feet, I would think you may need to consult a mathematician to calculate if 25 square feet of buckets could fit into a 25 square foot tent, just way too complex to calculate.

Is it 1 sqaure foot, tell me more about how all pots are made exactly the same and uniform in every dimension, everywhere, Jekyll. My 5 gal super root airpot that may hold true. My 5gal smartpots are over a ft wide. So what kind of 5 gal pot is he using Dr Jekyll? You seem to have the witty response without knowing all the info. But please go on giving him snide remarks without knowing exactly what he's using. 5 gal buckets like a home depot bucket are over a foot wide at the mouth and when including the flare out edge prob another half inch. So unles you know yhe pot he's using keep the snide comments to a minimum and offer something constructive. Im not gonna clog up his thread, if you're not smart enough to understand what I wrote, a response isn't warranted. I didn't tell him how many he can use because I don't know his pot type, just like you don't. But, being a faux-expert, your condescending 2nd response offered him no help, and showed you didn't take everything into account when you opened your mouth. Because if I was telling him how many pots to fit. It'd be 4-8 plants in 5-7gal pots with room to train for good canopy and light penetration. But you do you Dr.

Id get a Magnum XXXL hood or equivalent to spread your light OP. Lumens, you're perfect withr that light, they flower a 5x5 well. Your canopy control is gonna be paramount though. With that many plants, they'll be a few that will outgrow and shade the rest furthering the problem, so super crop and etc where need be. Scrog it, do what ya gotta. You don't wanna have to raisr your light for the tall plants and lose some light by the time it makes it to the short ones, and they arent getting very strong light, and what light does reach them is in patches shades byt he bigger plants.

I thought my comments were rather positive and encouraging, I'll try my best to improve upon my delivery to prevent any further misunderstandings.

well tallstraw, a standard plastic 5 gallon bucket will consume about a square foot of floor space, but I'm sure there are other shapes that would be more or less.
So since you can mind read the OP, maybe you tell us just how many fucking buckets he can squeeze into the tent, or maybe you should just keep your stupid snide comments to yourself as you are not even smart enough to figure out who to criticize.

Well I think you'd have a hard time getting 25 one gallon containers into that space let alone 25 five gallon containers. If your planning on beginning your first grow, I'd recommend doing no more than four plants so you can learn the ins-n-outs of growing before tackling a larger grow op
