Hello my fellow growers well I took some time off but now I'm getting ready to get my self back acclimated to things so here I want to discuss a few things I currently want to use 4x1600 watt MARS LED lights
To flower 24 plants in 5 gallon smart pots Along with 2x12 bulb T5 Lights to Veg 12 plants under in 3 gallon pots also this will be a perpetual grow so I'm going to do some cloning from 4 different Mother plants which are going to be under a 8 Bulb T5 in 3 Gallon pots Also My question to the community is this. Are the Mars LED good enough to pull 4 oz off each plant (i.e. PURPLE KUSH, BLUE DREAM HAZE, GORILLA GLUE#4 x W.WIDOW, AND G-13 PINEAPPLE EXPRESS or Do I need to get another 1600 watt for flowering using F.F. Ocean Forest soil with Advanced Nutrients Sensi Nutrients Grand Master Line . FEEL FREE TO SPEAK YOUR MIND MY SKIN TOUGH I'VE BEEN DOING THIS SO I DONE SEEN AND HEARD..... ITS ALL IN FUN....LETS GROW

Ok i looked at the HLG LED boards you are talking about which one do you recommend for what i'm trying to do, because right now MARS is at the top of my List, I've had great results in the past with 3 1200w im just looking to upgrade and go larger scale op.

Sorry if I missed it in your post but what size area are you talking about.
Is there a reason for those mars and not going HID lighting?

HLG 260 or 320 kit per 2x4 or 3x3
or
HLG 600h kit per 4x4

My Flower room is 12 X 12 and my veg room is 10 X 10
Well them mars "1600w" are only 730w lights. Your going to want at least one per 4x4 area. Even though they say they can replace 800w of HPS I don't see how given the lumen output is half a 600w HPS. I know lumens don't mean much but they don't give you much other info and what is there is contradictory.

Typically those LEDs are less efficient than HPS.
Its going to come down to what you want to spend really.
Seems a massive waste to throw that sort of money at something that performs worse than HPS when HPS is proven and much cheaper.
Then of course you have good LEDs as already suggested which are more expensive than those cheap LEDs but do actually perform well.
If your set on LEDs do a bit of research on Quantum boards or COB lights or Strip builds using quality components.
Its your money, if It were mine I would be going for strips or Quantum boards as a first choice and HPS as a second choice and Mars or any other cheap blurple wouldn't be an option.

Don't get me wrong, as you know, they will grow weed, but will they grow the most weed for your money and get the most out of your space?

thanks for the Nod. Also money is not an issue for me i was using the 1200 watt ones but i gave them to a buddy of mines its his first time growing and seeing him do his thing made me love growing all over again so im jumping back into it. Now i've seen some quantum boards i was interested in but i'm not doing no HPS because that is so old and out of date i was also looking at Spyderx Fluence LED setup might just go with that right now i'm getting the room airtight and sealed replacing windows and also redoing the plumbing in the area to run RO into the room through Reservoir feeding & Watering basically this one im going all out for because i'm over the newbie stage i'm really going to do something special this time around all top shelf i was just on Attitude and they put out a Cali Connection gold Line i'm go to do the Passion Berry (Gorilla glue x Gelato #45) just ordered. Stay tuned

Sounds like you've got some grand plans man, nice!
I don't know too much about the fluence LEDs other than they were good at the time.
If moneys not an issue invest once in something great. Have a look around here and see what the crack is at the moment. :bigjoint:
Best of luck with the new venture :eyesmoke:

The Efficacy on those SPYDRx's is impressive if its genuine.
But the output on the SPYDRx is 810 umol/j which to me is a bit low for a 4x4 space, especially for a $900 light.

The SPYDRx plus is 1535 umol/j but that's a $1500 light.

The HLG 600h has an output of 1450 umol/j and cost $642

Granted the HLG is more wattage. But they grow well like all the other QB lights from HLG.

Theres a few good threads on here about them. Take your time and don't rush into something.

Disclaimer, I am biased since I use Quantum boards and cobs and have never used fluence lights :bigjoint:
