I have a 2ft wide by 12ft long by 5ft high area to work with. I'm going to set up a two stage grow room.Clones mother and new veg in one side and flowering in the other will be running and 400 watt MH and 400 watt HPS need to find out how much ventilation air flow and CO2 to run for optimum growth and yeild will be using a hydro system

if you want to run with enhanced co2 then you want to create as self-contained an environment as you can. vent the lights with air cooled reflectors using outside-your-room air and duct it through the lights and out of the rooms without mixing with room air. then you need a co2 monitor/controller and either a gas generator or bottled co2. you set the co2 level for between 1,000 and 1,500 ppm co2 and vent only as much as is required to manage temperatures. you're going to want something like a 250cfm fan with a variable speed controller (or better yet a co2 controller that includes ability to manage fans). even better approach to use with co2 is with an a/c so you don't have to vent for temperatures. in that case, you only need to vent occasionally to rid the grow room of excess oxygen.

Screw the C02 theres enough of that in the air plants can only absorb as much C02 as is in the air because if you think about it theyve been evolving for millions of years in earths atmosphere with a relatively constant level of co2. What im trying to say is they can only absorb a certain amount and air has enough :bigjoint: focus on your ventilation and air circulation as the plants will use the Co2 in ur room up but if theres a constant supply of air there will always be co2.

For Ventilation, work out the volume of ur growroom in cubic feet, then look at the cubic feet per minute rating on your fan and see if the numbers match up .You will need a minnimum of 120cfm for good air movement and a few oscillating fans aswell
