Grow Op setup

Hi rollitup just thought I would post my project plan so I can keep myself accountable for keeping on task and so I can get advice from more knowledgeable people! My budget is not a factor as I believe that whatever work and money I put in I will get out from the lovely garden.

My plan is to utilize a ledge above my bathroom that is in the ball park of 6 ft wide by 2 ft deep. I will be purchasing a grow tent that is 4 ft wide, and 2 feet deep with a 5 foot ceiling. From here is where I could use some help. I have the intake duct planned well, however its the exhaust that I am skeptic about. Since I am growing in a spare bathroom I plan to utilize the vent that pulls air automatically up and away from the room. Can I attach an exhaust fan and a duct that will lead up to this already placed fan in the ceiling of the room? Are there problems in doing this? I only see opportunity to better conceal the smell as it would be going out and above the buildings. I would also be attaching a carbon filter to the exhaust in ADDITION to a carbon filter that will be set in the middle of the room. An article on odor said the combination would greatly reduce odors.

Next in the plan is the debate of using my 400HPS/MH bulbs and ballast or upgrading to a 600W. Will the upgrade make a difference other then create more heat?

Lastly, I wanted to get a better idea on whatever else I can do to help increase productivity of the plant. Besides a simple CO2 generator, and nutes what else can I do?

Any help would be appreciated and I will be sure to post pictures as I start purchasing my shopping cart and setting it up on the ledge. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this!

could you not just pull the old fan out a piece the old ducting to the new ducting with a 4" tube
you could vent Ozone direct into extractor to kill the smells more you dont want a build up in your room

the bulb size is not the main issue its light spread 2x 250w hps may be better
or buy a massive hood like a magnum xxxl
hydro will increase yields maybe try an auto pot combined with a scrog will bump yields a fair bit

Yes I suppose removing the fan would be key :!: then I'll just attach the ducting right up to where the vent is. Also, I read into Ozone and was only skeptic because it CAN be harmful if misused. Although, reading if from you and other sites on how helpful it is might make me put one into the setup. Lastly I have been looking into the hoods, thank you for that piece of advice! I would consider getting 2 250w light set ups except I feel that the heat would be unbearable - one thing I should have mentioned is I live in a desert; so heat is not ideal during the summer months (which I don't have to worry about for this grow)

a a nice bank of t5's wont improve yield but this is an option
but the 432w (8 x4ft 52w) tubes will yield good without the heat issue or maybe a large led
or its very large air cooled hooded hps

thats why i said vented direct into extractor for the ozone it would never be in your room just mix inside the duct
