Grow light + tall plants = burning my plant

I'm a first time grower. Got a 2x2x4ft grow tent with a 300 watt LED grow light. I have a Northern Lights plant that was topped once while still small. It was 12 inches tall when I went to 12/12 lighting. Thought I had enough room to allow for the stretch period, I was wrong! It's now 16 days into flowering stage and my plant top is touching the grow light and starting to burn. I don't know my options to try and help my plant or if I can only write it off as lesson learned.
I'm not worried about a large yield as this is a test run to make sure I can do this but sure wouldn't mind a little something for the work I've put into it. I've learned a lot as to what to do next time, more topping, better LST, etc. Been keeping a detailed journal of what works and what doesn't before I start my next plant, same strain.

Can you show us a picture of your tent? Folks here might be able to help you out. some of these folks are creative as heck

Bend or break the main stem then tape it at a 90 degree angle
It will recover and start reaching for the light again so a bit of bondage may be needed
