hello there, I was wondering what I would yield with 1 auto Buddha syrup under 1 light. I normally do 2 reg strains under my 250w hps (lemon or cheese ) and get between 3-4 ounces from both. I know most autos don't yield as good as normal strains, but I have done a couple of syrups in the past and was blown away with the potency in the smoke. so this time round I'm doing 1 single auto syrup just to see what I can pull from it. here gos...

Strain: Auto Buddha syrup fem

Medium: BioBizz light mix

Nutrients: BioBizz grow/bloom/topmax

Grow light: 250w hps

Light schedule: 20/4

Grow space: Dr 60 grow tent

Pot size: 12ltr

7 days under HPS

sorry about the quality of the pictures as I have taken them from my phone

I'm only going to update this grow once a week, when there is something good worth seeing. Here she is being trained, never trained an auto before. There wasn't much smell when I rubbed the stems a few days ago but now when the stems are rubbed that syrup smell is starting to come out. I done this auto strain before but it didn't yield too well think I had too many plants in there to start with, but the potency what lies in this strain is powerful for an auto. I just hope it comes out like it did before.

hello there, I use biobizz soil and nutes. don't use nutes for the first 14 days or you will fry your seedling. Auto plants are very very sensitive to nutes. I start off with only 1ml of biobizz grow to 4ltr of water. I have not grown any autos since last year and I forgot how sensitive they are. i have got slight nute burn on the tips of the leaves now. but its not the end of the world ive just cut back on the nutes. i have just looked up Med Gom 1.0 on google, it looks nice mate. :leaf:

I like watching a personal grow journal. Nice simple little set up... Good job with the training there by the way! That plant will still be growing for another 3 weeks or so.

Must say, I love the bamboo stick idea of stopping the tent sucking in. Excellent idea!

The leaves look like there is too much air blowing on it. I've done many grows in a dr60, imo you are better off aiming the fans horizontally across the plant. Have it like 12'' above the plant, so you can just see the plant slightly twitching and I mean slightly. Like get it so it doesn't move, then drop the fan inch by inch. I reckon blowing the air constantly on your plant is the problem with the leaves. Maybe the light is slightly too close too. I'd rather use a 250w hps 12''-18'' away, than 8'' away. Both easy to do, but leaf transpiration is made possible at 12''-18'' away, much harder at 8'' away. A bit less light, but the general plant health will more than make up the difference. I like to let the plants stretch up to the light. Less heat at canopy level, better rh and faster growth because of it. The leaves should feel slightly cooler than the air. If they ain't, back the light off.

I just feed my auto's molasses at this stage, just purely to feed the soil. I'm using bizz light mix, it's ec 1.2, so half the strength of all mix. A good few weeks food in. I don't start feeding grow nutes until the plants lower fan leaves start going slightly lighter. When the 1st plant does go lighter, they all get grow nutes.

I haven't started any nutes yet and looks like i might be beyond 14 days before I do it, not sure at this point. I'm sure once I get some more leaves they'll take off but it's been slow going so far. The first one is growing under a COB 3700K 200W (using this single light for entire cycle) and the second is growing under a 200W (equivalent) 5000K LED. I know 5000K isn't ideal but she seems to be responding well to it. It looks like the one under the COB is really happy with the lighting - standing straight up and stopped growing tall, stem is looking really nice to me. The second one was kind of a panic sprout, my first took 5 days to come out of the soil and I was thinking it might not sprout, so I started the other one in a rapid rooter without adequate light. She was stretching to get to the COB until I hung the LED right above her and she's stopped growing vertically now. First one is 8 days, second one is 6 days from sprouting.

I'm looking forward to the Med Gom too, was like the only high CBD I could find in auto. Do you see anything that I should be doing differently?2.jpg 1.jpg

That Dinafem does look pretty good. Do you happen to remember how long from sprout to harvest for the med gom
Looks like a nice healthy seedling. I've grown 1 med gom plant before. Was a superb high. Cbd is so under rated. Try Dinafem industrial plant auto 5% thc 13% cbd. I grew two of those out and they were excellent.
The Dinafem does sound like it'd be worth a grow for me, thanks. Do you happen to remember how long from sprout to harvest on your med gom? I'm a little nervous because I go on vacation starting Christmas eve for a week and I'd like to have her done by then. I've read that switching to bloom nutes early can quicken the flower stage albeit at a loss in total yield, would that be an option for me?

Sorry also to the OP - I won't hijack your thread anymore, looking forward to your updates :)

Yeah these dr 60 grow tents are good for a stealth grows, I have mine inside my clothes cupboard. You could walk into my bedroom and you would never know it was there. I had to put my 4" TT fan in my loft because when I had it in the tent it was way too loud in my bedroom. That's why the bamboo sticks come into play as the negative pressure sucked the tent in too much, seems to have done the trick tho.

I think you are right about the fan blowing on the leaves, thank you for giving me the heads up about it I will change it in a couple of minutes straight after iv rolled a smoke. I'm also going to raise the light slightly, the only reason i lowered the light is because temps here in the UK have slightly dropped and my temps in the tent dropped to 74-75 degrees. I'm going to wait until my plant stops stretching then I'm going to put my 250 hps heat shield on so i can have the bulb 6-7 inches away from the buds.

I have not got any experience using molasses or anything else apart from Biobizz grow/bloom/topmax. I am probably missing out by not using it, but i always get lovely tasting rock hard buds so i have never grown any other way. Thank you for your advice, very much appreciated.

oh... heres a quick photo of my last crop i did in the summer, i only do 2 plants at a time. this 1 was lemon diesel that was too strong for my brothers girlfriend to smoke :bigjoint:. i ended up pinching just over 4 Os dry from this.

Looking really good there. You're doing great in that small area.

I have used biz grow, bloom and top max. Quite an easy line to use. Grow knocks the ph down, bloom makes the ph go up. Have heared top max gives it kind of a funny taste if you use it in the last few weeks. I have some top max in and used it last grow. I highly recommend their alg-a-mic. Good stuff that is.

Molasses isn't so much to feed the plant. It's purely there to help the soil life build. Always use unsulphured molasses if you do try it. Mix 1 teaspoon per 4 liters into some warm water, then mix it with nutes mix. It's like sugar and carbs for your soil and plant. Imagine running a 400m race without sugar in your body, you'd be all light headed, wobbly and weak. The soil needs it I reckon.

Totally didn't want to seem I was putting your grow down, no doubt about it, you're a very good grower and doing great.

Also, forgot to say. If you use enough warm water to mix molasses, you can actually use it to bring them temperature of the overall feed up, so the plant doesn't get shocked from cold feed. It does get cold here in the UK dunnit! (:

day 28

Wasn't too sure about training this auto as I have never trained them in the past, but i can honestly say she has responded well to it. I have had to pull down a few of her side colas and tie them back to the bamboo sticks as they was out growing the rest of the plant. I like to try and get it as even as possible :leaf:WP_20161028_20_05_28_Pro.jpg WP_20161028_20_05_37_Pro.jpg

day 36

Right the boring stage is over now, she stopped stretching 4 days ago so now is the time to pack on as much weight as possible. she got nuit burn had to cut back again. I only feed my plant every 4-5 days during the winter months, I'm only stepping up the nuits by 1/2 a ml per watering now its painful but probably the best for autos. The auto syrup i did before took 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest and I'm hoping for the same result this time round as it will be a nice smoke just before Christmas. Now the stretch has stopped i am not going to look at my plant until it needs a watering every 4-5 days, that way each time i unzip my tent there will be big changes to see. I'm sorry about the picture quality once again but i have only got a camera on my phone.
