Grow Cab Lighting question

With a grow cab 47"height x 31" width x 16"depth, using an ebb and flow SOG system, what would you recommend to be the best lighting structure?

I have been strongly considering 10 27w cfls, 6-10 42w cfls, 150w hps, 250hps, or 400w hps.

Ventilation will be consisting of an upper chamber with a 4" inline fan and a carbon filter. There would be ventilation slits in this chamber going outside as well.

There will also be light proof ventilation boxes throughout the box with computer fans.

CFLs are probably your best option.


Your cabinet is small, those HPS would heat it up very fast. You might be able to use a 150 but anything bigger is overkill.

Running an inline fan or perhaps a cooltube wouldn't be able to cool a higher wattage hps good enough?
