Grow-cab Dimensions/Number of Pots

Greetings grow masters!

First-off, I'm a noob. This is my first indoor stealth grow-cab I'm excited and nervous of effing my grow up! Hehe!

I'm working with:
5ftx2ftx5ft of space
300W 9-band LED grow light.
8-inch intake-outake
(attached are the pics for actual dimensions)

Question:

Are these dimensions enough?



Should I go with the green pots or the orange ones basing on the root ball and height restriction of the grow cab?

Looks like you have a nice space there! Demensions all depend on strains and style of growing you want to do. Indica heavy strains are usually suited better for small cab growing, sativas stretch a whole bunch during flower and require a bit more space, usually. With that said, I grow in a little bit smaller demensions and use scrog style of growing, (one plant, Wonder woman). Next grow I'll be trying sog with 6 plants. If you don't know these styles I suggest doing some research on here at other stealth grows.
As far as the buckets I have no idea sorry. I have only grown hydro Deep water culture and am not fimiliar with how much space roots need in the dirt.
The 8in fan might be over kill, unless you have high ambient temps or plan on using a fan controller. I use a 6in for a 600w hps. Ambient temps are 78° and the cab stays 78°- 82°
Not sure how stealth you want to be, everyone has a different overall goal. If you don't want noise or smell you'll need to get fan silencers and carbon filter aswell.
What material are you planning on using to build the cab?

I'm planning on using plywood for walls and 3"x1" planks of wood for frames. I'm going to just go with whatever scrap wood I have lying near my shed. It's going to look like a wooden tool cabinet with some pretty fancy looking locks on them (not going to save on security).

I'm thinking of a SCROG grow in the space I'm working with or, if not, I'm just going to let nature or the plant decide

I don't plan to use carbon filters since I'm tight on the budget and the people in my part of the world aren't even familiar with the smell of some of that goodie-good danky-dank!

I'm planning on 1 Critical Jack and 1 Jack Herer as my first serious (no bag seed) grow. Both, I think are indica-sativa hybrids and I'm really hoping on a stockier phenotype.

Sound like a plan. If you don't want to skimp on security I would suggest electromagnet locks with a key pad or a hidden button hooked up to release them. They would be hidden on the inside of the cab holding the doors locked. Can get them as strong as you want, and are not that expensive. Only down side is that you need power to keep them going. Thats what I'm planning on using for my cab when I feel like buying them and hooking it all up. Then you have no locks visible on the cab. Just an idea.

I would go with no more than 3 plants in that space.
Maybe 2 if you were running hydro.
And def a scrog screen or mainline the plants (advanced).
