so bud has reached a ridiculous price, and, fed up with the hassle and cost, i've decided to grow a couple (or maybe just one) of my own plants.
my copy of marijuana horticulture: the indoor/outdoor medical grower's bible arrived the other day, and my planning is off to a flying start, if i do say so myself. so excited!
i'm going to transform the chest of draws under my desk into a growbox, and i feel fairly confident with the soils, nutrients, reflective mylar to cover the walls etc, but i'm really not sure about how i'm going to ventilate it. the interior of the grow box is 67 cm tall, 35 cm wide and 60 cm deep - cramped, i know, but i'm thinking a lowryder or ak 47 will be okay, and i can always take out the floor of the box to access the few more inches below (the chest has wooden blocks on the base).
i guess i'm just a bit stumped on how to ventilate it. do i cut a hole in the back and fit some kind of fan in it? but how do i transport the flow of air out of the box?
my room does have a balcony, and i can say from experience it's easily ventilated from ganja aroma
i'd really appreciate any help or advice. thanks
also, with lights, i was thinking, considering the limited space, maybe a 100 watt HID? i don't really know though, and i'm hoping you can get lights that you can just plug in to regular wall sockets like a normal electrical appliance; i really don't want to be fiddling with fuses and hardwiring like the jorge cervantes book mentions :/
