Grow box idea.

I was thinking of turning this cabinet intow a small grow box the measurements are 16" by15" by 10" i was going to put 4 octagon lamp boxes and hook up either 80w or 100w cfl bulbs wired to an extension cord end, i do know the proper wiring proceduers and have taken electrical, i am also going to borrow a timer from a friend, and cover the inside of the cabinet with reflective material.

Any other ideas or tips? also i was thinking of LST'ing the plant i was using (sour deisel) with a string mesh i would staple in the cabinet, 2 things i need to know are how big of a pot do i need for the plants as i am usiong soil and also and how far away the plants can be from the bulbs without burning.

With your cfls you want them 1 feet away for max lumens to be asorbed. I've hear guys say judge it with your hands. "If it doesnt burn you it won't burn your plant.
