wait till the soil dries out and then water it slowly till drips come out the bottom - but make sure the drips arent flowing coz the water has found a quick exit down the side of the pot. wait for each bit to get sucked down into the soil - take ur time. u should be able to estimate the water content of the soil by the weight of the pot and also by touch. gd luck ! (u dont wanna overwater i.e. not let the soil dry out completely - coz the roots wont get air and may rot. best to wait till its all dry and then water. u also dont wanna leave the soil completely dry for more than a day really - but they handle slight underwatering better than overwatering)

oh i think i jus got ur question lol - i dunno what a green-o-matic is, but u shouldnt water all teh soil in a big container coz no roots are using it yet, that what i heard on here. i personally would start in a suitable sized pot and transplant a couple times into the final pot. i transplanted twice with my autos and they were not pleased for about 4-5 hours and then they looked happier than ever. the last transplant was when they were showing their first pistils on the main stem. hope this helps :/
