Does anyone have any experience with grafting plants? I attempted my first last night. It is still alive this morning. I just cut each one at a 45
and taped them together using toothpicks to make a splint. I will keep you updated on how it goes. i used my big yeild plant and grafted it to the skittles plant. Flavor and high yeild. hopefully. If I seed it will this be a x breed a hybrid or nothing??

Ive known people who have grafted a single bud site onto a male plant just to get seeds. Usually when you want specific traits from both breeds. you are producing a cross breed.

Cool. but all grafting is going to do make two strains share the same roots and stalk. I don't know how that will affect them if they like different fert levels?

If you are still in the veg state of each plant and you attempt to graft a limb from one to the other if this works would it not continue to grow but with the genetics on how it's to grow now being mixed?

I've been keeping a few plants as mothers, I have a Blueberry and then a 420 *cross of Burmese x Fucking Incredible*. Could I not graft a few branches of the blueberry onto the 420 or vise versa? Then making it a carrier for both strains. I'm really only curious if this will change the plants traits as is grows on the new limb?

Haven't really found an explanation on how to go about this yet either, I'm sure I can find something like it on apple trees or something and go from there.

the limb carries the traits, the rootstock is just that roots at least on trees but with trees you can create a dwarf by useing the root stock of a smaller tree of the same fam i don't really see the benefit of this experiment on weed but i guess its possible to have 1 mother with 2 strains is that what you wanna do

yeah just cut a branch off of each at a 45 angle as your going to clone them. then place your blueberry clone on the angle cut of the 420 and brace it with tooth pics or straws etc. then you can have 2+ mothers in the same pot. Could save some room I guess? You still won't get any cross, just able to take BB and 420 clones from the same plant.
