If you harvest they are gonna smell a hell of a lot more then if you just sealed em in a closet or something, little extended darkness wont hurt

put it off a week or 2......or exclude the room tell the guy he cant go in that one cuz its rented or something idk... but ive harvested early and the last 2 weeks are so important cuz they ripen alot in that two weeks

The appraiser is going to have to have access to all rooms or he will have to mention it in the report and the lender will require a re-inspection (another fee your going to have to pay, I mean if I was the buyer I would be asking the seller to pay since YOU prevented access, you know?) But look, the appraiser is not the police and just want to get his job done. He is just giving an assessment of value, but I have seen appraisers put comments on pot being grown in home, but I would say that is very unusual. You have a little bit to clean up that looks like a bit of a pain but your gonna have to tear it down before you move, but afterwards you could set up the lights and some fans and be good for bringing the plants back. You have ten plants, that is not too many, I would suggest:

1) move the plants the morning of the inspection to the attic, then move back after, the inspection should not take much more than an hour.

2) get some large cardboard boxes (u-haul or moving supply place) put your plant in the boxes shortly before he get there. If you are in the light cycle then put the plants outside till just before he gets there put the boxes somewhere out of the way or in your garage. You can pull all your lights and clean the area up a bit, then after he does the inspection all gets back to normal.

Worst case you tell appraiser you grow for med reasons and you keep it small for personal use, not a biggie.

Can't do that if he's selling it, can he? The guy doing the inspection will want to see every room, he sends his report to the buyers! He can't say,
"Seller wouldn't grant me access to one of the bedrooms..." How would that look to a buyer?
"Why not? What's wrong with that room?"

Lookin good man, I'm with ta2drvn, if you have a way to move them for a couple hours, it would be much better then cutting early. The last two weeks meen so much as far as yeild, and potency go!

I like the moving box idea. You could just assemble without the bottoms or cut the bottom out and tape up the top, mark it FRAGILE. Cover 'em up, if they smell, run the AC/fan and bake some cookies or make some coffee to mask it.

How many plants? I'd do it for mine, that's for damn sure. WAY too much work goes into this to weenie out in the home stretch.

Yeah, I heard freshly baked bread will do a lot to sell a home. Maybe it will get you more value in the appraisal.

the appraisal I just had was 100% cool with me having my plants.. I just asked he not take pics of them and he did not. He also stated that some of the appraisals really dont matter too much based on the loan and the type of sale (we have a short sale)

Wow these are some good ideas. I have been wanting to refi my house but haven't looked too far into it because I know I have to have an appraiser come out. I don't have a huge set up or anything but i am in an area of the country where we don't have such laws that the legally allow for me to do anything like this...

I'd get the U-Haul Truck and run a hidden extension cord out to it. U-Haul + moving = think nothing of it.
Yup, that's what I did when the landlord wanted to inspect this year. It's a pain in the ass, but the silver lining is that it forces you to clean up your grow space.

No need to run a cord though, just keep them in the dark a little longer won't hurt.
