Good quality strains that are forgiving of lights going off (my electricity cuts off)

If I was to think about growing where I'm currently based the electricity tends to cut off for short amounts of time, occassionally for a few minutes, rarely for more than an hour. Does anyone know of any forgiving strains that arent likely to screw up in such circumstances?

Ps a generator is not practical... and a UPS well thats a possibility but an expensive one I'd like to avoid!

I hear northern lights is a very hearty plant that can take some abuse. I think the light cutting out occasionally wouldn't be as bad as the light turning on during it's dark period.

Hrmm pretty much what I was thinking! Maybe a small ups to power a few cfl's to minimize any damage?

yea thats better than no light at all. If you can power 3 or 4 23 watt cfls as a backup then you should be fine.
