Golden Gage - Gage Green

Strain: Golden Gage
Breeder: Gage Green
Grower: Mad Hamish

Bag Appeal: Pretty good looking bud, some phenos are covered with light orange or red hairs
which makes for a pretty woolly look. Light green so where you see the trichs they really sparklelike diamonds. The woolly look distract from the layers of trichs a bit, so on looks alone she gets a 7. The neon orange hairs are really cool though I like them lol.

Trich Coverage: A nice shag-carpet of trichs all over the bud. Small heads on short stalks. Trim is totally frosted, the bubble is going to be good. I will give my keeper pheno an 8 out of 10, and the least impressive a 7.

Bud Density: Really good. The tops you can hammer nails in with, even the ones that looked kinda airy ended up drying out solid and dense. Not quite rock hard as some bud I have seen, but dense enough for humidity to be the enemy. 8 out of 10.

Smell: I like it, it is an exotic, spicy, more-ish smell I can’t quite put my finger on. Spice and Sour is quite good. Some variation in phenos, one has a minty smell on top, but that trademark exotic spicyness is in all of them. It is not quite paint-stripper potency though. I like it, but it is not particularly strong in flower or on the dry bud. On merit of it being really nice though, I will rate this a 7, but some fellas will rate way lower, others higher I guess. Depends how important FUNK is to you. I like it quite smelly. But like I said, I keep sniffing the bags…

Taste: Straight up hashy spice. No layers to it, it is the smell but in taste form. REALLY nice. Peppery in a way, but that doesn’t do it justice. Kinda like Chai but without the sharp cumin and ginger. Our keeper pheno really has us drooling. The flavor stays strong all the way through a joint, and bong after bong taste the same. It just doesn’t wear off. Really lovely. Super solid well deserved 8 out of 10 there. If it had some fuel to it, I would be in heaven. Real surprise is in the taste

Effect: It is not a creeper, it hits right in the head. VERY pleasant headband, a total brain massage. It is pretty strong, but you are not going to lose your keys as I like to say. Thing about it is that it is soooooo pleasant. No racy heart or weirdness. No sleepiness unless it is late already. Just a good old classic STONE. Sorry fellas, I won’t call this one medicinal at all. This is total recreational reefer. Perfect for a night out or an evening at home. Or even for breakfast, you get nicely toasted but still function fine. Just watch the red eye though… We have not noticed a tolerance onset YET, so at least we can say not rapid, but we are going from pheno to pheno.

Overall, was fun to grow, VERY pretty in flower, and the smoke is going down like a home-sick mole. We selected a definite keeper that will have her place with us for a long time.

Thanks mate, was my first time going for a wet trim, must say I will go for it again, also happy with the look and the scissor hash is EPIC lol. Ruins scissors.
More hash on your scissors less hash in your bubble bags :) I really just can't stand a wet trim argh! :) Stick enough dry :)

Lovely plants and report Mr. Hamish. Awesomesauceroonie :)

It is a great one to go for indeed. Also consider The Cornerstone, man does she yield like a mad thing and the flavors are really great too. Potent relaxing high. My favorite from Gage.
Man that's my preferred effect, I'll have to check it out. Do you grow organically in soil? I believe I've encountered you in the organics section over here and on the bay.

Probiotic Living Organic Soil all the way! Gage breeds in organic soil so their gear sits in my rig like few others. I run Gage and Bodhi only now pretty much. They just rock, period.

Most of my gear is from bodhi as well. I'm thinking I'll diversify the lineup when my bean buying addiction relapses.. I'll likely go with gage at some point. I like the sound of the cornerstone description. I don't focus on yield, but as a fellow organic gardener, you surely understand the appeal of a strain that yields in dirt. I don't know anything about seeds of compassion, but I've also been contemplating picking up a pack of Gorilla Biscuit for a while now. Maybe its just the limited availability that intrigues me, as usual.....

Lol yeah Bodhi is the man. You have any questions about Gage gear you can hit me and Genuity up any time. Most of my album on Breedbay is Gage tests.

Not all their gear yields massively but it is all DANK AS F... The Headwreckers and Salvador crosses are very generous. Total dab strains IMO, the shatter is incredibly flavorful. Tastes like the bud smells.

Here's my golden Gage. The girl on the right has been in flower since June 14 the one on the left July 7th. They're both very different. Did you end up with a pheno like the girl on the right, hamish? Not sure if this is desirable in sativas or not. Lol

Holy shit what are you feeding that thing lol?! She did all that stretch in two weeks?! I haven't quite seen any of these ladies do that no... I am a little taken aback tbh. Don't quite know what to say.

No offense intended stealheader... but I haven't seen a plant look like that at 7 weeks (is my math right??). Dang!
