i read on 420 magazine that they will work for your plants but they arnt "ideal" for growing bud cause it takes to much close attention to grow weed. They did say it will work well temporarily but it isnt a good idea. So if you have to... go for it. But they suggested a drip set with a water pump on a timer, wont be to expensive and you can control exactly when your plants get watered. good luck!

Wait until the soil is dry. Then soak the soil. Put 1-4 aqua glodes. Leave.

I go on vacation couple time a year works for me. Longest 2 weeks.

I was thinking the same thing a few years ago. I paid $30 for 6 AquaGlobes to water my 6 seedlings while I was gone for 8 days.
I thought I better try them out first so I set up one globe on a seedling needing water. Didn't need water long! The globe emptied
in 45 seconds. Shit, I coulda done that with a free water pitcher instead of $5 globes.

Thought -- I was using real loose soil at the time. Maybe if you tamp down your soil first the globes may not empty immediately
like mine did. Anyway, be sure to test it before you leave.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Bump.. I was thinking about starting a grow but I'm not to sure if my job will allow it. I have a job where I will be out of town for up to two weeks often. That kinda blows my chances at groing cannabis right? Well, I would appreciate it if anybody can tell me if my dreams of growing are crushed or not lol..

I mean.. Don't I have to worry about a fire? Or what about watering issues? Nutes?

Take a look at Miracle-Gro Water Storing Crystals. They cost around $8-$10 depending on where you buy them from. They look like tiny plastic beads that you mix into the soil. Then water a few hours a part and a little bit more then you normally would so the beads soak up the excess water. You don't need a lot, since each one can swell up to the size of a marble. I'm sure you can even pre-soak them for a 3-4 hours and apply them to the top of your soil like a mulch.

Also look into drip irrigation or soaker hoses set to a timer. You can even build a poor man's olla by gluing two terra cotta pots together and burring the pots next to your plants.

If your growing organically outdoors, you don't need to be constantly feeding your plants. 1-2 light applications of fertilizer a year it the most you should be doing if they're in the ground.
