I have recently switched positions at work and i have to travel more. It sucks cause i'm about 6 weeks into a new grow. I have had bad luck this year so far. I had to kill 2 previous grows do to family emergencies. I only have enough bud from my last successful grow for maybe 2 or 3 bowls. Therefore this current grow can not be harmed.
I went on travel 2 weeks ago for 4 days and left the wife in charge of moving the lights. I even made it stupid easy for her and place all 6 of my babies on cd cases and told her to take away 1 to 2 cd cases away each day. Well when i came home 3 of my babies were growing in between one of my T5's. I was pretty pissed. But its my fault i should have explained it to my wife more i guess.
Away, i'll be out of town for lets say 3 days, since i can set everything up the morning i leave. My set up is a 4 foot tall grow tent (love it BTW, beats my ghetto metal bookshelf setup i had). I use T5's because i have had a high success rate with them so far and it keeps the energy bill down. I grow my ladies using the "Hempy Bucket" Method. Hempy Bucket is amazing and the easiest to take care of IMO. i just put my girls on a 12 hour schedule this weekend since they were all over a foot tall and i want to speed up this grow do to my vanishing stash. I know i keep saying their girls and i really hope they all will be but they haven't sexed yet. So wish me luck on that.
I'm thinking i can place the lights about 5 inches away and be ok. That way i dont have to worry about the wife forgetting to check them. Never rely on anybody to take care of your plants, they just dont care for them like you would. They are like my children. I know i'm crazy but there's others on here that are crazier then me about their plants, LOL. I'm not worried about watering them while i'm out. Because i water every 3 days anyway. So i can water the morning i leave and it will be time to water again when i get back.
So do you guys think i'm be good at placing the T5's 5 inches away from the "Ladies"?
If you need to know the stains they are as follows:
3 - AK48's
2 - Bubblelicious (Possibly my favorite strain)
1 - Mystery Plant, I think its either a cross between northern light and royal flush, or its a faminized royal flush I had a Royal Flush plant turn Hermy on me the last few weeks of my last successful grow and i was also growing Northern light at the same time. i decided to just plant it to see if it would grow since the seeds were tiny. I wish i kept track of which plant the seeds came from cause if it was the Northern Light, I was going to call it Northern Flush. Its doing really well, i think it maybe 100% Royal Flush cause it looks like my last ones.
Anyways thanks for taking the time to read my post and give me any opinions you wish. I'm always down to learn new things about growing the plant i love so much. I use it for medical use and recreational use and my wife strictly uses it more medical use. Which is why i dont understand her negligence when she watch over them for me.
