i'll be gone anywhere from 5-10 days. is there a setup I can utilize that would take care of my potted plants watering while I'm away? i was looking at maybe a reservoir with a wicking basket. thanks for the help everybody.

water them really really well, then put the pots in trash bags, water them again, then ziptie the trash bag closed around the stem. and besure and take them off as soon as u can.

Both good ideas .... but for that second one ... the 14 plant watering thing ..... Make sure that water resoviur is not in the light with nutes in it .

And if using ziptie .. dont make it too tight :)

Enjoy your trip ...and i hope your plants work out :)

if i understand this right it would basically put my plants into sleep mode while i was away right? could they handle that for more than a week?

that looks neat! maybe even a permanent watering solution.

Thanks!
so does that mean my plants will have to go without nutrients while i'm away... I don't know a lot about hydroponics/reservoirs [i like dirt!] but I'll do some reading.

Maybe a submersible water pump on a timer, with some drip hoses???
i could definitely make a DIY of what purplehazin linked, might be more cost effective.

might my wicking basket be idea feasible? thanks again for the ideas :peace:
