Glass and CFL Lumen Output? Slow Veg Growth

Hey everyone. I would like to give a little background info before my question. This is my second grow, but my first stealth cabinet. It's a converted IKEA cabinet with a Veg/Flower area (width:20" x height:26" x depth:14"). I currently have vegging (3) White Dwarf's, (2) Chocolope, and (1) Afgan Kush. They have been vegging for about 2 weeks.

I have 8 CFL bulbs (23 watts for veg & 30 watts for flowering), and due to the tight growing space, I was concerned about temps getting a little out of hand. Therefore I built a cool tube-like space above the plants with a sheet of glass between the bulbs and the girls and a dedicated 120mm fan exhausting the warm air from the lights.

Now for my question, will glass diffuse/reduce lumen output from CFL's? I'm wondering if my slow veg growth is due to a low lumen output caused by the glass. As you can tell with the photos, my girls are right below the lights, and can't get any closer.

Thanks for any help/info you folks may have.

of course u lose a bit of actual light as it passes through the glass but i think u have enough light to cover it . Also that was a great solution to ur problem rep+ also do u test ph ppms and such might be a different issue for the slow grow

Thanks Thumb!

I feel like my girls are growing slow, and I'm trying to figure out why. So that led me to wonder about the glass/lumen thing. I have not checked the PH yet, but that was next on the list.
