germination...

okay, so im germinating 2 god's gift seeds. they're currently in a plastic zip lock bag with a damp paper towel. i made sure to get the majority of water out of the paper towel..

but i was wondering if it would be okay to put miracle grow mixed with water on the towel? or would that completely kill the seed? and should i leave the bag open or closed?


i spent the last hour reading around this site trying to find out if it was safe or not before i decided to post this

lol, wet a paper towel and put the seeds between it. Make sure its pretty damp and then put it in a zip lock bag (close the bag). The reason for this is so that no moisture escapes the bag...the water triggers the hormones in the seeds (but don't drown the seeds). After the white root has emerged from the seed then its time to play the seed in the soil, root side down (about 1/2 inch deep).

Germinating can take anywhere from 1 to 3 days.

yea i usually just soak my seeds in a cup of water for 24hrs then plant them 1/4'' deep, i usually see sprouts 3-4 days after that

i wouldn't suggest the miracle grow...but yeah, you got everything else right....i don't know if you are one of those people who leave your tv on all night..but i germed some seeds and put them on the vent for the tv over night for heat and one had already sprouted the next morning...as far as getting most of the water out of the paper towel...another seed wasn't doing shit..so i soaked the towel again but didn't wring it out ( just let it drip off excess water) and put it back in the bag and set it on the tube again...sure as shit, it was sprouted by morning

Ya, I Put 5 Seeds in a Really Damp Paper Towl And Put it in a Zip Lock Baggy and Let it sit for like 3 to 4 Days and i looked at it and 3 Seeds had roots starting to Come out of the seed about 3cenimeters and the other 2 Broke out of the seed and ad 2 Leafs Sprouting.. i planted them and there doing good so.. thats really all you need.
