Germination Question

I am currently sprouting 13 Hashplant Haze seeds from a dispensary. So far over the course of a day or so one has already sprouted. I'm waiting on the other 12 to sprout. I've moistened a papaer towel and placed the seeds inside, on the inside of a black dvd case with plastic outer covering. My next step is to place them into their rockwool cubes... place them in a ziplock bag inside of a paper bag and place them back in their current location. The current location is above the stove in a cubbard. I figured its the warmest darkest place in the house.

so here are my questions... and feedback is greatly appreciated.

How much longer do you think it might take for the other seeds to began germinating?

Do you think I'll be ok placing the cubes inside of a ziplock bag and placing them into the paper bag to retain the darkness? or do you think placing them directly in the undisturbed cabinet is just fine without using the paper bag?

My theory is that the paper bag will also help retain warmth rather then just placing them in the cabinet. what are your thoughts?

Thanks Much... Be blessed...

the other seeds should crack within the next couple of days or so.. i'd say if you don't see anything within 5 days or so, they're not going to crack..

second, i don't think they need to be in the paper bag as well as in the cupboard.. dark should be enough for them..

Ok.. So my babies are nice & sprouted... Tap roots are showing & i've placed them into their rockwool cubes, into ziplock bags and placed them in the cabinet above the kitchen stove which seems to provide the best warmth in the house. Mow heres where im going insane!!... When do I introduce light to these babies? Some forums read immediate others say otherwise... I just wasnt the truth & nothing but the truth!! On the safe when should I transfer into soil? How long before I should began to expect the first stems to show? I know being anxious gets us no where... Cant help it... So proud to be a parent...

Thanks much... Blessings....

Why are you waiting so long before you plant your seeds.

What I mean is with the tap root exposed to nothing but air and paper towel, that's
asking for trouble. That tap root is fragile and important and in my mind, should emerge under the soil,
not inside a paper towel.
Further, with the tap root already growing out in the open like that, you now also have the embryo exposed as well,
and most likely it will have a hard time shedding the seed pod.

The shotglass method of germination is a superior method in my opinion.
Both in terms of being safer for the seeds, as well as being a better indicator of viable seeds, ready for planting.

The gals sprouted up in the rockwoo & showed their first little leaves..... I placed them in a tray and under the cfl they went ... Now we wait...
