germination help getting em started help

Hello all,and thanks in advance for the help. First legal grow, only had 50 percent germination rate(on plate with paper towels) good seeds, then the 4 that did make it came out looking sickly, not sure how to get better germination rates and how to get the ones that are left healthy again? can;t send pics, using a supercloset deluxe, thanks!

I fold up paper towels till they are about 2-3" wide, wet thoroughly and put seeds on them and then fold over. Keep them good and damp. Place in a not to bright place and you will have germinated seeds in 2 days probably. I have had 100% success that way... Direct seeding was only about 50% before I did it this way!

i dont think the germination is why they are sick its the poor quality seeds.

Go with what dont fear the reefer said, ive never failed with the paper towel way just use pleanty of it so they dont dry out...i have allways put mines in a dark place, such as a spare bedroom drawer..always lift the bottom bit of paper towel first and check if the base of your plate or w/e u use is dampish...not too wet..also try soaking them in water for about 20secs before placing them in between the paper towels,
