Just soak the root plugs in ph water around 5.8 don't add any nutes at this stage I usually put them in soaked kitchen towel wrapped up in a sandwich bag to keep them moist and after 24 to 48 hours they should be showing tap roots then I just put them in the root plugs and off you go

You can open them out a bit I just put a nail inside the hole and open it out a bit place them tap root down and cover the top works every time or you could soak your seeds in a glass of water for 12 to 24 hours then put them in before they split done that a few times with great results
