Once my seeds crack and show a root tip I place them in the grow medium, no problem.
I've read opinions that say do not water the soil at all once you put the seed in the dirt and others that didn't give any advice. I watered my first germs a month ago slightly every time the soil got dry. All three came up and are going strong. Now I have a bunch more cracked and in the soil and I feel like they need a little water when the soil gets dry.
Is there a problem with a little water on top of the soil when it's dry?
Then, I don't see any advice on where to put the grow cups- outside in the sun for warmth during the day; in the window seal for warmth; somewhere room temp but out of the sun?
I would think new cracked seeds want to feel the warmth of the sun just like they would growing outside naturally and that it helps them push through the soil. What do you think?
Anyway, I only have a limited amount of seeds and it's really important to me that these come up and get going and that I don't do anything to kill them.
Thanks.
