Generator ?

I am considering using a generator to run my set up, I was wondering what you guys think of that idea and if you know any specific generators to use..

real quick, my set up consists (total) of 2x1000 watt ballasts, 2x400 watt ballasts, 1ac unit, 3 small oscillating fans, air pump and that pretty much covers the equipment requiring power.. I'm thinking a 3500 watt generator would be perfect, what do you guys think? Also, anyone know first hand how much gas they use and how loud or quiet they run? Thanks for any help!!

i would go for the 5000w gen what kind of ac do you have. your best off paying for power.

well if you run a large ac you'll need a big genni best bet is to get one at least double your usage. my 10,000 watt diesel ran 12 hr a day 6 days a week and used 40 gallons of fuel a week. shits not cheap and they are loud run one at your house the neighbors will know. unless you are out in the middle of no where its easier and cheaper to buy line power.
