Im wondering if an extraction fan will cool exhaust air? as im going to be growing in the loft and i dont know where to exhaust my air, Only part of my loft will be sealed and insulated until i get enough cash to do the rest, Should i put the tubing from the extraction fan into the uninsulated part of my loft or to the vents at the edges of my loft that go out into the big bad world? also how many lumens does a 250w Hid give out, Im just doing alot of research before i begin. also will i need to add additional Co2 or will the vents and fan give enough circulation, also i only have the correct positioning to have the fan down low and i know heat rises so how could i sort that out? Im a novice so dont be harsh

extraction fans do not cool air... they just remove it...

you want to exhaust it away from the grow space... outside is fine as long as you have proper odor control in place... maybe a couple inline carbon filters to make sure the air is thoroughly cleaned before exiting your loft..

250w MH - around 18,000 lumens
250w hps - around 25,000 lumens

you need co2 if you wont have a good supply of "fresh" air... if you can somehow bring fresh outside air into the room it would be best.. but adding co2 to any indoor grow without a steady supply of fresh air is beneficial...

you want your exhaust fan at the top of your grow.. to pull the warm air up and out... you want your fresh air intake, if you have one, at the bottom of the grow room opposite of the exhaust side.... if you dont have a fresh air intake dont worry, just keep the exhaust fan towards the top of the grow room opposite of the entrance point..

Thank you, Well the vents on the outside of my roof should be allowing air to come in, My Grow room will be sealed apart from the inline fan which i will try and get positioned high, is it possible to attach tubing to both sides? as i wanna sorta place and seal the fan in wood to the outside, I will have a couple of vent holes on the other side covered with mesh, should i mayb aid it with another fan ? or will the one fan be enough to continuously pull air through?

the sensible thing would be to get a good can filter and vent straight out of your chimney man!

a fan inside the tent for circulation should be sufficient and passive intake through the tent flaps.

co2 is unnecessary and not really worth it unless your sealing your grow to keep temps up which is a lot of management

welcome to RIU get your grow on man!

sup simp ;)
