I use a GH pH down, I use it with a pipette and a pH pen meter. If your water is clean it only takes 5 drops or so to adjust a gallon of water to 6.3, if your water has more stuff dissolved in it, it may take more to adjust it. You really can only measure, add a few drops, measure again. Once you've done it a hundred times you'll get used to how much you need. I really only pH my water for cloning these days because I run recharge in all my potted plants and since have quit paying attention to pH much. Anywhere between 6 and 7.5 even is fine when the microbials are abundant and doing their job. Also if you start with really clean or fairly neutral water, usually after mixing fertilizer the pH is really close to what we want anyways.
