This is my second grow and for my first one, my friend helped me mix all nutrients. I should have paid more attention because I am confused. http://www.generalhydroponics.com/genhydro_US/feeding_charts/GH_KeepItSimple_Recirculating.pdf Here is the schedule I am following, currently in seedling stage, except I have one that says use Florablend .5 1 1 at a rate of 15 mL per gallon.

I have only added half of what it recommends me to add to my res, and the ec is already too much.
I have a Hanna HI9813-6 meter.

My question is why is the recommended amount not equal to what it says the ec will be? Does it have to do with my meter?

Did you mix the nutrients separately into the water or mix the nutes together then put them into the water? It could make a difference in your reading...or so I have read.
