General Hydroponics Calculator

I've finally been planning my order and decided to go with General Hydroponics, looking at the -->Nutrient Calculator<-- on the website I've came across a few questions.

Now for Seedling and Growth i understand, Transition must be first week of 12/12? But for bloom and ripen,

Would ripen be last week before flushing for 2 weeks?
Therefore bloom would be the total flowering minus 1week Transition, 1 Week Ripen, and 2 week flush?

Thanks
Tagh

If you don't have an answer how bout what you think is best for a ebb and flow system/ aeroponic?

I am a neewbie also and I am using the GH three part system. On the calculator , I used the last feeding on the calculator for the week before flush and just started to count the weeks backward. I not exactly sure I am doing this right, but my girls look great at the end of week two flowering. I am growing six girls in a 2x4 ebb and flo table with a 600W HPS light.

If you are not in soil than GH recommends the last week as a "Flush" meaning reduced nutes for a week. 1 week of flush is adequate in hydro. If you have been easy on the feedings throughout, easy meaning an EC of 1.8 or less, you actually only need a few days of flushing. If you have been balls to the walls with bloom enhancers and such than 1 week flush. The transition period has reduced nutes because the plants are adjusting to the 12/12 and require less nutes. When I flush I reduce to EC of .6 (300 ppm @ .5) with clearex also added. I found the plants actually uptake more water that way instead of at 0 ppm. I don't know why but thats what I have observed. I still balance PH to 5.8.

lol great answer.

I wish I could help but I use Dutch Master nutes and their calculator is fool proof. I am however going to the local hydro shop today so I could ask a guy I know there for ya.

I am wondering what other more experienced growers think about this too, because I was thinking it should go just as you posted it.
I am also wondering though what should I set the res size at and how many res changes should I set it at if I am just growing drain to waste in 5 gallon buckets with soil?

Great question Tagh,
But what GH program are you going to be using?

GH feeding schedule,

Transition - - - Yes, it's the first week of 12/12

Bloom - - - Next 2 weeks

Aggressive - - - Next 2 weeks

Ripen - - - Next 2 weeks

Flush - - - Next 2-4 days (w/their solution)

I'm using GH 3 part, using it w/all their additives (first time using it)
I'm growing in a EBB&GRO system (fist time using it)

The girls are 8 weeks, 3 days into 12/12.

What I've learned about GH in a recirculating system that may help you.
Mixing GH NUTS, using GH"s recommendations did not give me a high enough PPM in my reservoir. (small Buds)
If I had known this b4 I started this grow, my harvest would have been 4-6 X's larger.
Next time around I will still use GH, but I will increase the PPM in solututoin to 1,400-1,800 PPM.

1st 2 pics are a couple of clones from my ex-mother, in ebb&flow sys, on day 59 of 12/12 (almost time to harvest)
Next 2 photo's show my ex-mother plant in soil, on day 59 of 12/12. (will harvest 2day)
