Ga3

Here are some questions about making fem auto seeds with GA3

Can you spray GA3 on an autoflower that has already begun to flower? Not full of buds or anything, just has a small cluster of pistils at most of the nodes.

Would you spray it on 5x then stop?

Can you put the entire plant in a seled ziplock bag once you begin to spray them so that any male flowers cant spread pollen elsewhere if you want to do a couple different strains/plants at once but dont want them sharing pollen? Or will the humidity ruin them. The plants would be strictly for pure fem seed not really caring about the buds' usage.

What concentration would you use if you have 90% pure powder GA3 that needs to be dissolved in 70% alcohol? How much per quart of water or so since a lot wouldnt be needed.

If not, would just randomly sticking the plants into a dark closet for a couple hours at a time throughout the day for about a week or two hermie them? They would still need to be bagged tho to prevent pollen sharing

the bagging isnt an option
your plants will smother
what ever plant you hermie needs to be removed from your grow
and pollen harvested
then applied later
if you can get a clone to root before preflower then then spray it after it recovered
then you would have a mini pollen machine

and if i remember correctly the gibb might go bad after mixed i cant remember details but i think i read it some where might want to check into that before you mix a whole G off gibb up

Yea the whole reason for bagging is because they would be tiny autos and they would already be starting to flower for about a week but not getting big buds yet so about 4 more weeks at least. Should be enough time to force a few male flowers on each. ALSO since they are all autos flowering at the same time, the bags would be to make sure the seeds on the plant in the sealed bag would be fem seeds of THAT strain.

Keep in mind any plant you spray Ga3 on you WONT be able to smoke. It can KILL you.... DO NOT SMOKE ANY PLANT SPRAYED WITH GA3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well theres a technique for seeding that soma uses. Basically leaves some branches on with buds after harvest and let it keep growing past its point of "THC degradation". Instead of a bag couldn't you use like some sort of seed catcher at the bottom of the pot? Or are the branches mingling with eachother? If you were not worried about smoking then sure but get to spraying quick its gonna put the plant into shock so it will need time to recover as well as develop male parts, then wait for the pollen sacs to mature then they open and pollinate the female and hope you have enough time for the plant to make fully mature seeds. Of course even then since your not worried about weed ou can just keep letting it grow after the acid sprayed on it till you get your seeds.

I wonder if you can tissue culture an auto. If so that might be an easier way to clone them and then just plant them out as needed two months before you want to harvest. Guaranteed females every time same pheno and everything.

but then no seeds right away which is why ga3 is cool for making seeds to store.

Well there is another way if you have a dehumidifier, you can do it without but might cause more risk of mold.

After the female(s) gets pollenated by the pollen, spray the plants a couple times a day with water. Water "deactivates" the pollen, at the same time cause cause a bit of humidity which is why i recommended a dehumidifier.

True. Ive heard about that. Thats the problem i think might occur if you bag them, but i dont see why if you take the plant outside, open the bag, blow in it, asela it, and put it back on ur rack after misting the outside for any stray pollen, wouldnt work. It seems like it would. The only point is to do it with autos since they all flower and die at the ame time so youdont have time to do each one by itself if you only havea couple seed and you sowed them all.

hey bro just grow some iranians or freedom 35 veg at 24/0 take cuttings then flower at 18/6 or what ever the least amount of dark is to flower the freedom flowers in 35 days after the flip
and there is no need for 12/12 and there not ruderalis so the quality is better to say the least
im probably going to switch to a flip
here pretty quick
still run auto's but just in a veg box :D

im actually starting to miss the perfection of a real bud structure :(

As opposed to autos? They look the same to me and from what ive heard if you get good genetics with autos its as good as good genetics with photoperiods. Like think different, auto mazar, afghan kush ryder, etc... They are very little ruderalis if they aregood and havebeen bred for a while. I think thats probably another misconception that they are that much if any less potent if you get a good strain similar to how peolpe think clones degrade over time.

i have grown alot of auto's bro and i mean alot pretty much perpetual with 2-3 finishing a month normally. i have been slacking off lately kinda just doin the personal thing
but have grown them for a few years
well lets say it this way a 80% sativa/ 20% indica is different then the pure sativa correct ?
well most auto's are 20% ruderalis by most breeding charts
just a thought

i agree there are alot of good auto's potency wise

Well yea they are prob a bit different, but whether or not its very noticeable is a different story. Does ruderalis ave any tch/other cannabinoids in it because if it does then it wouldnt necessarily be LOWEER potency. However it might help to cross some photos with auto pollen, and then cross the F1's with the same auto pollen as many times as you want to cut out as much as the ruderalis while keeping the autoflowering recessive gene.
