Hi guys
I thought about creating a thread about fussy strains. What have you run and what are your experiences and how did you over come your issues. Ofcourse not every plant is the same.
I have a pheno of watermelon short cookie by dying breed seeds. Id say its quite a unique pheno it was so different to the others i popped. Smells like fizzy peaches and has a really nice lemon/grapefruit flavour to her. Really smooth and a super energetic high. I'd have binned it by now as its not even a good yielder its just too tasty to give up on.
Ive run this strain 5 or 6 times and everytime i get the same issue week 4/5 of flower.
The fan leaves start getting spots and go yellow and die its starts at the top and works its way down the plant. The plant still makes it to harvest with some really tasty nugs but i can't help but think if i cater to her needs a little bit more she wont start to struggle so early in flower.
I normally take her 9 to 9 1/2 weeks.
Biobizz all mix in a 15L pot. Current feed 1.5ml grow, 3.5ml bloom, 1ml calmag.
Temps 26 to 30c day, 16 to 18c night.
RH 30 to 40%.
My water is heavily chlorinated and has an ec of 0.0. I let it sit for days to remove the chlorine and add organic calmag.
Ive tried tinkering with the feed on previous runs, but still havent managed to keep her happy.
Ive run many strains but never has one had me scratching my head like this.
Id like to hear your fussy strain stories but if anyone has a suggestion id all ears.
