Fuses

Hi! I got my growroom down in my basement,and its driven by 35 amp fuse..I know this is much,The standard is 10amp I think.But here is the dilemma: Its allready running my freezer,and my 1x400 hps.Can I use the washing machine??? I dont dare 2 start the machine cause Im afraid to destroy my HPS...I also got another HPS lamp I wanna use,Its a 250w.. Will my lamps blow?? Can my fuse run all this???? Thanks and +rep 4 helping

35 amps can run a bunch of stuff. I used to have the same problem. I couldn't use my shop vac downstairs if both my lights were on (400 watt hps and 400 watt mh). These were both on 15 amp fuses. I ran 2 new circuits into my grow room - one for each light and installed 35 amp circuit breakers. I haven't had a problem since then, and that was a couple years ago. Gotta go get the shop vac and tidy up my grow rooms. You should have no problem running that on a 35 amp circuit.

Cool..But ur not 100% sure? Is it like" u should be able to" or is it"No prob to run that on 35amp" +rep anyways bro..

The only way to know for sure is to add up all the amps that all the appliances are using. I very much doubt between the lights and the washer you will have a problem 99.999%

You can just run it all and find out. It will not destroy your lights all the fuse will just blow cutting power to your lights. But as Tommy said the only way to know is add up the watts of everything you'd be running on that circuit, a good rule of thumb is; that at 110volts 100 watts is one amp. Good luck and happy growing!
