Furst time grower - Harvest ?

This outdoor MauiWowie plant has been performing very well until we got hit with a couple big rains. The plant is yellowing and some buds are browning out. The trichomes are all cloudy but very few are amber. Should I selectively start removing the colas with browning buds or should I wait?

Those brown areas look like bud worm damage to me. Just remove them. THink I see some powdery mildew as well. If it was me I would spray with Zerotol and then remove the most ripe buds and leave the rest.Zerotol can be sprayed right up to harvest and leaves no residue. Then spray again in a week and see where you are. Bud worm damage doesn't automatically spread to the whole plant, in my experience. Of course your weather forecast matters a lot here. If a bunch of rain is moving in, it might be time. Kind of day to day at this point.

I am hearing that Trifecta works against Botrytis Cinerea and that you can spray it up to the day of harvest. I only have two weeks left so I don't know if that would help...have no effect....or make matters worse.

Thanks everyone. I have concluded it was Budrot, so I eliminated all the buds in question. I also thinned out the plant and started harvesting from the bottom up. (Popcorn anyone?) 20231008_170531[1].jpg
This plant is still going to yield me quite a bit. I took MGG's advice and made plastic covers for my trellises so I can keep the rain totals down somewhat. This pic is what it looks like now and I am going to let these colas grow until the trichomes start going amber.
