Fungus Gnat Predators

Anybody have experience using predators to take care of your gnat problem? I have a large scale grow in Coco coir , where I keep the coco very wet at all times. Gnats are inevitable. I am using yellow sticky traps but they only do so much. The most common ways to kill and keep them away are, Bacillus thuringiensis (Mosquito Dunks) vs Nematodes vs S. scimitus. Some more expensive than others I really don't care I want the gnats to stay gone.

Any advice, suggestions please post. If you don't have experience with this please post someone where else.

H2o2 and baking soda watering kept them away, I’ve heard you shouldn’t spray buds with them but watering with those things must be fine if nutrients are. Also vinegar with water. All of those got the gnats away immediately for me. It balanced the PH. You can be struggling with PH right now and low PH “can” create bacteria that attracts gnats

Get a gallon of the microbe lift. Ive seen it on sale this summer for 120 but it's usually around 150. 1-2 tbs per gallon a couple times a week to knock them out and then .5-1 once a week to keep them away. It's easier to deal with in larger quantities then the gnatrol and nematodes seemed to get washed out quickly when feeding enough to keep the coco saturated.

Microbe lift is also Bacillus thuringiensis

Correct just in liquid instead of granules like gnatrol. My bad if you said you didn't want bti
No it's not bad. I'm just trying to compare. I usually use dunks , they are granluars. Just not sure if there is something better.

I used crushed mosquito dunks, placed in cheese cloth, soaked overnight in water, and then applied.

You can apply DE food grade (I did) as a coco top (wear mask, nasty for human lungs). Some growers add sand or grow stones or cover the tops with fabric.
As preventative, i always mix the dunks and have coco soak in it before i add to containers.

Good luck and i hope you get them under control. Coco is amazing.

Last grow I had like 200 sticky traps attached to all my grow bags

STRATIOLAELAPS SCIMITUS
GAEOLAELAPS GILLESPIEI
BENEFICIAL NEMATODES (NEMS) (Soil Larva Parasite)

Sorry cut and pasted the names.
Ss works amazingly to get rid of fungus gnats. Any combination of those or all 3 will make short work of them.

beneficial nematodes are great predators for gnat larvae in the medium. 20$ and water it in then they'll be gone! Others use mosquito dunks but IMO the gnats are there due to decaying roots(overwatering) or if in soil, something decaying

H2o2 can help with decaying roots, does anyone know if you can feed it during flowering? More than one opinion would be good

They wont ship gallon size to my state. :(
Did you check around ebay etc? I know I said it earlier but nematodes seemed to just wash out of my coco. 3 months and a few hundred dollars worth of nematodes and there were still adult gnats on the sticky traps. Maybe if you're in larger pots they might work possibly. best of luck man.
