Fucking slugs

So I put 30ish clones outside, come back a week later to notice all but one have been eaten down to the stem by slugs. I bought some slug poison/bait whatever you call it but what do you guys use to keep slugs away?

Dolomite lime

A small ring of copper wire at the base of each stem. I read it on here last year, and decided to try it out this summer. I actually put a slug in one of my pots, and watched him (while smoking a fattie) he crawled up to the copper, touched it.. then turned around. It supposedly gives them a small shock or something.

Yep, copper works. You can even lay a ring of pennies around the edge of your pots. Total cost per pot? About 38 cents. Priceless and recyclable !!!!!
