Frost and thieves!!

Several of my plants are starting to show strain from three nights of 30-31 degrees, it's been sunny and getting up to the low 70's but I think the 1-2 hours of frost are taking a toll.

Then Thursday I had a visitor to my legal grow...Trimmed a 5 foot plant down to 4 feet..topped 15 bud sites. I have cameras up and have nabbed my neighbors kids back there, and talked to the parents, but they weren't much help. The camera only picked up figures walking across my site, I couldn't say for sure it was them ..but I know it was.

So, now I've mounted two motion detection flood lights and I'm going to chop Wednesday. I was hoping to wait till Saturday, we are supposed to start getting rain Sunday.

Pissed me off to baby them all summer, then some fucks start stealing the buds.

Not to be a snitch or anything but if it's YOUR legal grow and it's underage kids stealing them I'd have the cops called on the little sons of bitches and they would get the message real quick when their asses are red from their parents having to drop them off at community service. Fuck with my plants and I'd do damn near anything to you!

Frost is not just cold temps. You can have cold temps without frost. You are very unlikely to get frost at 30-31. The plants will stress at that temperature but that will also cause them to ripen more quickly. Really not a problem (unlike the neighbor's kid).

It's a shame your so far away, cause i dont sleep well, hate thieves and have a mossberg special purpose for such occaisions. Private property means just that, you enter at your own risk. Wouldnt be the first time id sat in a garden on a lawn chair waiting for a fool! Never mess with any inactive military with proficiencies! What a fucken shame that you cant enjoy your hard work. Cant believe that poster said call the fucken cops! WTF the last thing anyone wants is cops anywhere near there fucken house PRIVATE property and stuff. Shit here where i live they shot a house thief dead this summer! true story!

I believe there's a little misunderstanding here so let me clear it, dogs are for alarm & guns are for protection, I wouldn't let any bad guy hurt my doggies.

You really shouldn't act like a dog is defenseless, to be fair. Man has domesticated dogs for many things since he figured out how to, one of which was protection. My old rott mix ran off an asshole with a bat when I was a kid; that's what we put him in the back yard for. I don't expect my dog to put in all the work, don't get me wrong. Myself, and every other man I know, has always had an unspoken agreement with their dogs. Just like I would crack the skull of a man fucking with my dogs (As I almost did today with an asshole who was lurking in my alley and taunting them.), I would expect the man who fucked with my property to get similar treatment from my dogs. It's a mutually beneficial relationship: I provide food, shelter, medical care, mutual defense, and a sweet retirement plan: He gets to lay around inside whenever he wants and be lazy, once he gets too old to fulfill his duties; while still retaining full pay and benefits. In return, he provides the services of alarm, mutual defense, and companionship.

We are both the watch, and both the guard. We are a multi-layered approach, update your tactics. :p

real dog = chihuhuahahau's mine is meaner then dirt and barks better then any pit... plenty of time for me to take a look outside and see how my other dog has handled the intrusion...

in a modern day situation if you send your dog out to protect your crop you're basically allowing for the possibility of someone killing your dog. idk, karmically speaking it makes more sense to have the dog for VIGILANCE, which they are VERY adept at, and leave the fighting and defending, to us MEN, who are very adept at protecting our property.

just makes more sense to me that way.
