Friend Passed Out, And Had A Seizure!

First off, i'm not sure where to post this! But i need to share!
Me and a bunch of friends were in walmart parking lot hotboxing.
One of my friends gets a call from his mom.

He freaks out, gets out of the car and answers the phone call in the parking lot. We continue smoking..

I look out the window and my friend is slowing leaning forward... he then passes otu face first into the parking lot. We rushed out and he was on the ground, bleeding, sweating really bad, and looking at nothing.

He then starts to have a seizure, everyone in the parking lot rushes around him, after around 30 seconds, he get's up and says hes fine but needs to sit down. We go back to a party and he sits on the couch saying he's fine, then his sister came and got him..

He didn't tell anyone because he didn't want to get in trouble

That was horribly insensitive and not constructive.

Um, You really need to get him to a doctor- not even just because of the weed, but he could have an underlying allergy, intolerance, deficiency or illness, like epilepsy. It's not worth risking something like that happening again. My best friend's brother has seizures at night and it's frightening how many times he's just missed falling over and hitting the wrong place or choking to death. I don't know if you're equally at risk of 'getting in trouble' from his loved ones or a doctor, but you could even omit that he had been smoking too. It could have been passive smoking, or, in the case that this person is generally susceptible to seizures, you'll discover what you need to anyway. I hope everything goes okay, I'm so glad my mother grew out of her epilepsy. It's frightening to see someone like that.

No shit, get him checked out. Maybe he is an unknown diabetic and passed out, than the fall caused the seizure. In any case, there is no need to mention what he was doing prior.... it was just weed. imho

Sounds like you got a bag spraid with raid, which is used on poorly grown buds that adds a kick to it for cheap, usually done by traffikers. Also could have been a panic attack. Either way in trouble or not, not getting him checked out could have lead to poisoning or death. People like you are the reason people oppose legalization.

If the bud was adulterated chances are it would have affected the others as well. If this is for real and for future reference, the fact that cannabis was being smoke might well have been a contributing factor; at any rate it would be best not to lie or 'omit' anything that could potentially help a doctor. As a rule you should never keep even the most seemingly innocuous tid-bit of info from doctors, haven't you all ever watched House? Doctors don't particularly care if what you were doing was illegal (like when it comes to controlled substances), they are there to find out what is wrong with you.

Cannabis can also lower blood pressure, which along with other contributing factors such as not eating, smoking, etc. can lead to exhaustion and ultimately passing\blacking out. You might also hear that cannabis can lower blood glucose levels but AFAIK this is purely anecdotal\coincidental.

sounds like epilepsy, friend of mine has it she went off her meds and would use maryj as treatment. it worked for awhile but sometimes it just happened, she would fall to the floor and black out for 30sec.

i wouldnt assume its the pot, i would assume he has a medical condition that he doesnt want anyone to know about and shit happened. whether hes not taking his meds anymore etc. who knows.

had this also happened to a friend in college 10 years ago
we (3 of us) was also hotboxing it but in a shower (no homo) with the shower on (hot water)
it was steamy as hell
the kid that pased out , we had smoked with him for years (first time hotboxing it)
he just fell out of the chair, we shut the steam off and pulled him into the dorm hallway and started faning him
30 sec. later he came to
i think it had more to do with him + the fact that we where hotboxing it
then it had to do with the weed
the kid was also kind of a weirdo + hotboxing it is never safe (we where just kids at the time) i would never do that shit now . i know better now. O2 is so very important for life. many younger smokers try to just enhale smoke to try to get higher, but really you are just blocking O2 from getting to your brain ...ie. gas mask, shot guns, hotboxing it............. it don't get you higher, your lungs can only process a maximum amount of smoke and O2 at 1 time ....
