What do you mean by fresh air? Do you have a fan pushing or pulling the air into your room? Or do you mean circulating the air in your room? If you are using Co2 then you need to make sure your room is sealed so you dont lose it and you are circulating the air..... 3X the sice should be OK..

"Fresh air" isn't important with CO2, the only reason you really need fresh air is to get CO2 for it. So if you've got some there should be no problem. May want to freshin it up every once in a while though. But should be ok without.

like how hard? if its wood a drill with one of the bigger bore heads that drill about a dime-quarter size hole and a hacksaw would work, draw a circle, drill holes around it, use hacksaw to cut through the spots in between the holes. takes a while but you can take breaks or just do a few holes an hour or take the 20 minutes and do it all at once.

Cheap CO2 system.

Mix Vinegar and baking Soda.

Dump the air floating on top of the result onto your plants. Don't dump any solid material onto your plants, just the air. It is CO2, so much that if you dumped it on a candle it would die out.
