FoxFarm Oceanfresh vs Pro mix

Im an organic man myself, i like the soil. so i have used FFOF before and i had no problems, maybe a little Ph control issue but not big at all and it could have been my fault. Now i see this soil called Promix. ive heard its good but never really looked into it. so what are the differences and pros/cons of Pro-Mix compared to FFOF.

Promix is cheap and more of a generic blend. Ocean forest is fairly expensive and a specialty blend.

OForest has basically everything you need already in the bag. Promix doesn't.

I use promix just because it's cheap. A whole compacted bale will go for $35. Mix it with some Earthworm castings, pearlite, bone meal, blood meal, and lime and you have a pretty good mix.

I dunno, the guy at the hydro store says he don't like the promix, but then again he sells the other stuff. Next time i'm there i'm gonna see how much it is and price it out. If it's a good price i'll probably buy whatever he has. If it's not i'll probably just get a bag of castings and mix it with the promix. (i get the bone/blood meal and pearlite at wallymart).

oh and i buy mycorrhizae at the hydro shop. I add a bunch to the soil, even tho most soils already have it. Every cuple weeks i add a little bit to the top of the pot.

I did a FF vs PM vs MG test. Clones from the same momma.
Yield was close. MG gave me 5-10% more then the FF or PM.
FF vs PM right about the same.

Like it was said, the PM really doesn't have any nutes i it. Jut enough for about a week or two. That is a plus, if you are a tweaker. (no, not meth tweaker)
