would I have to worry about PH levels when using fox farm ocean forest soils?
FFOF has been wonderful to me, I use general hydro for my indicator and up and down, but yeah bottled water you dont have to worry about, tap definately need to watch the ph
Here is a little trick i use to keep my plants watered, I place 1-2" of hydroton on top of my soil, this prevents excessive evaporation from the soil surface and lets me water and leave my plants for up to a week without killing them, though I wouldnt suggest leaving them this long.
Thanks for the info guys, I will def be adding a layer of hydroton to the top of the pots. Would you still have to check the PH of your tap water even if you let it sit out over a 24hour period before using it?
What other good mediums would you recommend symbiote420? bc i def don't want anything fukkin my shit up, that would piss me the hell off lol
My opinion is "FUKK Ocean Forest!...and Happy Frog, too!!" What if I told you all it's not a soil and that it's more of a compost! IMO the majority of people who have any real success with it mix it with some other kind of soil or add a ton of perlite.
P.S. Ever notice that hard crusty layer that forms after you water OF and HF a couple good times, I don't get that in any other soil I use store bought or homemade.
