Fox Farm Nutrients Sitting on Bottom

I have a big 22 gallon rubbermaid dwc system and I'm currently using fox farm grow big and tiger bloom. I'm noticing that the nutrients seem to be sitting on the bottom and not mixing with the water real well. Any suggestions to fix this?

Thanks

I'm assuming you're using a powder-type? If thats the case then I would say mix your nutes in another container first(warm/hot water) to make sure they dissolve before adding them to your big reservoir ;) When you do your PH/PPM checks you can also give your reservoir a quick mixing up with a big plastic spoon or somethin. I've only used liquid nutes thusfar, but hey...its what I would do if I had to use powder. Water temps have an effect on your solution as well. A popular choice I've read about is keepin the water between 65-69ish. I just did my first rez change yesterday and also had some build-up from mineral salts etc. I just decided to keep my water more agitated overall(22 gallon tank you can put at least 2 airstones in to be safe) so maybe it'll get better. Hope this helps you in some way. Happy growing :D

So far i've had no issues, here is a thread that has pics of me and my brothers grow. The nevilles haze is in an 18g bin (dwc) and the snow white is in a 5g bucket with soil. We also now have 2 AK48's in 5g dwc's in the flowering room, all looking good..

your grow is looking real nice! I think if I let them drink down the water a little the airstones might do a better job of circulating the water around so I might try that

quick question, in your dwc do you have air between the water and your net pots? or does your water level with your net pots

Right now the water is about 2-3 inches below the bottom of the basket. We had it just above the basket while it was a seedling but as soon as the roots started coming through we started lowering the water level. When we kept it high we noticed alot of roots were getting soft and breaking easily, probably root rot setting in. we have 2 14 inch air stones and one 5 inch round air stone directly under the net pot... We have had zero issues since lowering the rez level.
