Fox Farm Bloom Nutrients - Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom

Can someone help me out and tell me how these nutrients are best used during flowering? I'm not overly sure which one to use or when for that matter. I looked at FF feeding schedule and I feel like I would be giving them too much if I were to follow it.

You use both at the same time. One actually is different than the other. I hardly ever use full strength nutes at any time so half it for a bit and build up from there. Big Bloom is just liquid earthworm castings and bat guano and are easily digested by good roots so burning the plants is tough to do with it. If you add beneficial bacteria to the mix, you'll have more success with them. You might want to add a little Grow Big for Nitrogen, like 25-50% of the normal dose. FF doesn't put much Nitrogen in their bloom nutes.

I did see that the N-P-K numbers were considerably different on the Big Bloom compared to the Tiger Bloom. Can I mix them together in water or would I want to alternate feedings with one or the other?

I had been using a small amount of grow big for the first few feedings. I read somewhere that they need more N then they get from most Bloom Nutes.

You must have the hydroponic version of Grow Big. For whatever reason they soil version is much higher in N. The Grow Big has a lot of potassium, which the plant needs. You can mix them together in water without a problem. I have to be honest, I'm not real wild about Fox Farm with weed plants.

I think the bloom nutes for Fox Farm are the same as the Hydroponic. The only one that they have that appears to be different is Grow Big. The Tiger bloom is 2-8-4 and the Big Bloom is .01-.3-.7. This is my first try at this so I'm open to other products. Is there something else you've had good luck with?

The thing with FF is it was developed for home veggie gardeners. Other lines like Advanced or House and Garden are specific to what you're doing. I'm not a rep but I've seen some really good results from Rock Nutrients. It's very basic...one bottle for veg, one for bloom. And one for a densifier (the Resinator). The Root Tonic is fantastic. It looks expensive but you use only a small amount so it actually ends up cheaper or the same as other nute lines.
