then how come in the commercials it always says [Crocodile Dundee voice] Fooisters Australian for Beah[ Crocodile Dundee voice]?

I guess are the most popular beers per state/territory.

I've always been of the opinion that beer tastes exactly as a drink made from rotten hops, wheat and/or barley, with added fungus and some sugar, should taste...like shit.
But then, we Australians are happy to eat brewers yeast trash (Vegemite). Plus, anyone who uses beef stock cubes should be aware that most commercial stock is scraped from the bottom of the boilers where the abbatoirs render down the fat, bone and other useless stuff from beasts.

Yes, beer tastes like shit, but it gets you drunk relatively slowly compared to spirits...and the stuff I drink is actually thirst quenching and contains no artificial fermenters or injected gases.

I'm pretty sure fosters was started by an american to sell in the states. it was on cash cab.

Well, at the risk of offending my US based friends, yes, Fosters tastes like that pisswater Budweiser crap...no offence intended folks...

Fosters is seriously a piss poor beer. It is quite embarrassing to know they have an advertising budget that tends to override the crapness of the beer.

Carlton Draught is a good beer. It's the type of beer that you buy over the counter if they haven't got your favourite. It just tastes 'right' I guess.

I like Coopers brewery because of their ethics, as well as their beer. Have a quick read of their Wiki entry. They're like a really big boutique family owned beer company:
