For all the "OMG THE WORLD IS ENDING IN 2012" people...

He's a funny guy and everything, but what he didn't address was the list of ancient people who knew about stars that modern man didn't "discover" until the last 50 years.

The ancient people didn't say anything about another planet coming anyway. That is a recent theory from modern day humans.

He also didn't discuss about the fact that Alaska did indeed reside at the equator, nor how it got to it's present position.

He was pretty much debunking a movie, not even in theaters yet. Now I don't know about anyone else, but anything I see on a giant screen in a not so comfortable chair, I take in as solely fiction.

2012 is the year of a major calendar shift in the Mayan Calendar. Think of it as this, they had huge wheels that would mark days, years, millenia, etc. The bigger wheels took "longer" to turn, so it was a huge deal when it did happen. 2012 is when one of the big wheels turn. At the same time, certain planets and "things" line up. But this does not mean anything. There is always planets lining up in certain "angles" of space. The Mayans used this rotation of planets lining up to study time, because to record time, the mayans looked to space.

It is not prophecy or armageddon, but the Mayan method of measuring time.

2012 is when the sun and earth line up directly in the centre of the milky way galaxy. It only happens every 26,000 years, thats pretty cool we get to be hgere for it. And its not supposed to be the end of the world. It is a change in the way we live. Thats it. A change in the world that doesnt let us go back to living the way we did. Just like 911

Those who live for death will die by their own hand. Life is no ordeal. Reject the system -dictates the norm. From dehumanization to arms production. For the benefit of a nation or its destruction. It's your choice.

The Lords of Dogtown was a movie that was based on actual people, but it wasn't a documentary.

There is a difference between a film for entertainment and a film for educational purposes.

i dont know exactly when the last time was. but heres an example: Dogtown and Z Boys, 2001.

sorry for hijacking sort of

I love how this guy is so smart but thinks there are terrorists opposed to a planetary transition.
The sad part is that he is right. There are people in the world that do not want to evolve. Not just Muslims, bro. Christians, Jews, Buddhists and more.

IMHO religion is a dying entity. They're all just clinging on to their divided world while we reach out for singularity.

I wonder what these dudes opinions are about they mayan pyramids, and the egyptian pyramids lining up with Orion's belt, or the Sphinx pointing the way to the center of the milky way.

I'm not so quick to dismiss ancient people's beliefs, especially when they knew about stars we just "discovered" in the last 60 years.

Yes you are correct it was in the theatre as I remember seeing it there. And the theatre that I grew up by had documentaries play in it.

I dont believe any of that stuff about doomsday. Good vid though, I like this guy.

Only bigtime movies hit the theater where I live. If it's not making millions, it's not showing.

I don't see anything wrong with having some preparedness going on for 2012, just in case. There are a lot of geological events that are overdue as well. Things aren't going to continue along forever as they have been, history dictates that.

It never hurts to have extra food laying around. When times get tough people starve and wouldn't it be nice to have some security? Food prices have no where to go but up, so stocking up a bit won't do any harm.
