Fool proof seed germination

There's several different methods of germinating beans. I've seen alot of growers that soak and then go into paper towel, or direct sow, then something happens and the beans stall or rot, or equally bad.... they damage the root because it grew curly and whatnot in the paper towel.

This is how I germinate, and there's no heat mat or paper towel or even a cube/plug. There no rot, no damage and the taproot is perfectly straight. It's so simple and fool proof and honestly, very hard to mess up. Some beans take a little longer than others but using this method I get a 100% strike rate, everytime!

I've heard of this being called the "Float Tek". It's just that simple, you float your seeds in water. Don't tap them to get them to sink, just fill a cup with some water and drop in your seeds. You can use tap, softened well, mineral, spring, reverse osmosis, de-ionized or distilled water.

Like I said you don't need a heat mat, but the water shouldn't be cold. 70- 80F is ideal. Also darkness is advisable, so find a cupboard or a dark place. You can peek as often as you like to observe the progression without fear of damaging anything. The taproot will grow straight down and without curls or kinks commonly associated with paper towel method.

When the time is right you simply make a hole in the media of your choice using a pencil or chopstick, gently drop in your germinated seed and give a little splash of water. The substrate will fall in upon the root and your done. I like to wait until I have a 1 inch taproot, but you can decide for yourself when the time is right.

These beans are at 18hrs so far, in room temperature of 68-70F. I'm using RoDi 0ppm water.

Fool proof seed germination.
No soaking........no extra handling.
Just drop the seed in the hole, stick them in a drawer, and voila - a sprout in 3-4 days.

I've used them, and ive got about 3 bags on hand currently. But I've never had a 100% strike rate using them. The whole point behind my post was strike rate. Personally, I think the rooter cubes are better for cloning.
