Foliar feeding questions x 2. Let the roasting begin and I don't mean the plant leaves.
Ten years ago someone asked the question on this forum regarding foliar feeding, should it be done with lights on or off. Do the plants uptake the nutrients better if foliar fed when lights are on or off. The whole thread turned into a childish slanging match which was a shame, he took a right roasting so the thread was ruined. Basically he was asking if the plant leaf stomata took nutrients in as efficiently when lights are off.
I would like to ask the same question.
I foliar with lights on but raised. Never had any burning but I do add natural soap and Bio-Biz Aloa to act as wetting agents, there is no beading just wet leaves. So that is question one. Is it OK, beneficial or detrimental to foliar feed with lights on? As far as burning goes lets face it plants often get rained on mid summer immediately followed with blazing sunshine.
Question 2: My foliar consists of Liquid seaweed - Bio-Biz Aloa - Fluvic Acid - bio washing up liquid - water. I also foliar with pure Neem oil - bio washing up liquid and water separately on a different day. The question is can I add the Neem to my regular foliar feed without it affecting or reacting with any of the other ingredients?
