Flushing soil?

i have a 3 foot plant in a 3 gal pot eehhh and i need to flush my soil but i was also hoping on transplanting to a 5 gal pot so i was wondering should i flush after the transplant or what.... also i need to give her some nutes cuz she is yellowing up so when i flush should i give her a low dossage of grow big with a low dossage of big bloom. any info would be deeply appreciated

I would flush it prior to transplanting. There is no reason to flush the additional 2gal if it is new soil. Will save you some water also.

The new soil will provide it with nutes, I would wait till it recovers from the transplant shock before giving nutes

alright but if the soils already wet when i transplant it in with the other soil, that is dry, wont it be seaching for water so the roots are gonna start growing back upwards to the water source

unless your talking 0-10, if your rootball is a 10 and new soil is a 0 then ther may be an issue, but other than that you shud be ok. the roots will want to stretch out not go up

well im not gonna lie the roots were almost the whole pot but i flushed then transplanted thanks for the help, ill keep ya posted

Over time excess nutrients and salts build up in growing mediums making them more and more toxic to the roots. Plants grown in pots suffer from this very quickly if they are watered using drip trays that don`t allow excess water to drain away. One way to counter this build up is to flush the growing medium once a month with warm p.h balanced water. Use water to about 3 times the volume of the medium and keep pouring it through while allowing the excess to drain away. You can test the run off water if you like until it gets to acceptable levels. If the plants are in pots finish flushing with a 1/4 strength nutrient feed and then continue feeding patterns as normal.

oh fuck.... i thought i flushed my plant but after reading that im pretty sure all i did was gave it a large drink of water.. shitttt, either way ima just wait and see
