Flushing a plant.

Hi all, I\'ve been doing some reading and the book said that before you put a veg plant into flowering, you should flush out the soil. What exactly do you do to flush the plant? Or in other words, what is the procedure to flush? Thanks for the answers in advance.

take the size of you pot and run 3x the amount of plain water through it.. God I must be bored as hell, just sittin here waitin for someone to ask a question
