flowering with cfls

ok i was just wondering how many plants i could flower under 300 watts of cfl actual watts looking to get decent yeild grow box is 4 ft tall 3 1/2 ft wide and 1 1/2 ft deep box has mylar covering the walls and i have a reflector if needed

you could do 2 or 3 maybe. i would have that 300 over top then go buy some 2700k from the store. get 3 or 4 of the 13 watters to put around the sides.

Yeah i agree 2 or 3. Try LST them to fill it as much as possible is what i would do

it's all about light and the area it's covering. you could do one big plant or 10 plants that you veg for a week (just sayin) it's all about lumens, watts, distance, temps, water, and love.

Also use a mix for a fuller spectrum, at a 3:1 ratio of 2700K to 6500K.

I've flowered under CFL's, HPS is better.

anyone know what you could possibly yeild with 300 watts of cfl i know no one knows but just a ruff estimate

well that will be nice if i can get a couple ozs then it wont feel like a waste of time and money i have 4 seeds going rite now been going a lil over a week has 3 sets of true leaves there all about 3 inchs tall when would be a goog time to throw them in 12/12

a nice 2-plant LST, maybe you'll get more. just grow good gear, and enjoy. yield will take care of itself.

Well, If you SCRoG them you could get 3-4 plants.
You say you have 300w of CFL's i'll asume you have 20-25watters so that's 12-15 light bulbs.
If you install a screen and grow them to fill the screen you could have a cfl every 5 cm and set them in a box-shaped pattern 3X5 or 3X4. I'm not in the mood to think in english so i'll just draw what i want to say.

I find CFL's almost as efficient as HPS . I am currently growing 3plants with a 150w HPS and a 20W auxiliary HPS( for some buds that don't receive full lighting ) they look good.
My first grow was 100% CFL but it looked better. I spread the light all over 1 plant though so i had like 180W of clf's for 1 plant.
The whole idea of this is to try to sprea the light evenly across the plant and most efficient. Put tin foil/mylar/whatever reflecting thing you have above the lights so they give everything to the plant.

I have 6x23w 2700k lights, and they are flowering two plants very nicely in my space.

I would do two and lst the shit out of them try and keep the canopy even.

I'm doing 4 under 500w
I only planned on two but somebody gave me two more at the last minute.

i am doing 4 right now with a t5 6 bulb quantum babdboy. that fixture is 400w then i have 3 or 4 cfl's around it. my first grow i got 5 oz on one plant ( yeah it was 4 1/2 ft. lol ) but i hope to get 6-8 oz with the same procedure on these 4. i'm LST'ing them of course.

when should i start to lst

i have 3 55 watt 2700k and a bunch of 23 watters the 55 watter put out 3850 lumes each not sure about the 23 watters

take a peek at my grow. for flowering i am running 300 true watts of mixed spectrum cfl's. I can already tell by comparing my last harvest that i'll have from about 4 to 4 and 3/4 ounces all said and done. that's with two plants and I could have increased that yield to around 8 if I had the time to have vegged a bit longer and if I had known they were such squat growers.

i had 8 t5 35w 3ft around the side with 5 60w cfls for most of my flowering. worked really good recently i just switched to a 150w hps. yes i know i went lower on the wattage but i get more penetration now. so take the good with the bad.
