24-36hours darkness before switching to 12 12

use grow nutes for 7-10 days of switching to 12 12

Good advice from jondamon, Dunno about leaving plants in dark for 36 hours befor 12/12... We're imitating nature.. Nature doesnt do this, I just go strait 12/12 and always fine..Get yourself a bottle of PK 13/14 for week 5-6 if you can, Will help fatten up those buds and its only £5 for a small bottle, enough for a few crops

Don't switch to your bloom fert as soon as you go to 12/12. Keep using your veg fert for at least another 2 weeks,(some use it off and on, the whole way through) while your plant is going through the stretching phase, or there's a good chance that it'll go nitrogen deficient, way too early, and you'll have yellow plants without any fan leaves, by the 4-5th week.

I do this as to speed up the sexing process as i only veg from seed for 4 weeks. then switch to 12 12.

I have had plants show their sex within 7 days using this method.

Hey it works for me but it may not be viable for anyone else to do this due to temps etc. I try to keep mine above
17C/62.6F while during this dark period.

REALLY? i never thought about that. kinda makes sence tho. so you think 2 weeks after 12/12cycle i should stop using veg fertilizers?

^That's a good plan, but you should also plan to use the veg fert every so often, during the rest of bloom. I don't have it down to a science yet,(still tweaking) but am currently using veg fert every 2-4 feedings,(depending on what the plants are telling me) and having good results.

good advice forgot to mention that helps the plants keep greener longer because of the N boost. most bloom nutes have very low amounts of N which will quickly turn your beloved into a yellow sick looking lady.

good advice from JAWBRODT +rep

forget looking in the bible. all that info. is already here. just do some searching.... leaving plants in the dark for a prolonged period between veg/flower is common. i think it kind of gives the plants a nudge, letting them know it's time to go to flower. i've done it a few times. never really noticed any huge difference. i wonder too, just how old is his book? is it even relevant anymore? isn't it a bit outdated???

haha i think i would rather follow jorge's advice than some random ass person on the internet. i do agree this site is helpful, but it also has a lot of opinions, which are not facts! And you say its outdated? People have beeen growing bud since man put his foot on earth.

Anyway thanks for your help.
